Drop Earring: Cobalt

Christine Gable Epstein

Oceano Sea Glass Jewelry reflects Christine Gable Epstein’s passion for the sea. Her jewelry features naturally recycled sea glass—gems touched only by sand, saltwater, and time.

Blue sea glass often started as apothecary items. At the turns of the century, many tonics and poisons were dispensed in Deep Cobalt bottles.

Bromo Seltzer and Noxema began using Cobalt colored glass in the 1940’s and 1950’s. Cornflower blue was used to dispense other medicines, such as Milk of Magnesia.
