About the Artist
Elizabeth Heller majored in art education at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. She won the Outstanding Alumni Award for her career as an art instructor and as an author of two best selling children books. She has been an art instructor for many years and is currently teaching three popular classes in Egg Harbor at the Kress Pavilion/Library.
Liz is very interested in photographing flowers that she lets sink in a fish tank for about a week. She focuses on oil pastels that she can manipulate with a gloved finger or a brush dipped in resin gel that softens the image, then she can build many layers and work from there. Her images tend to be very colorful.
