Ikebana in Door County Ash Glaze

Enjoy this Ikebana, hand-crafted in porcelain by Plum Bottom’s resident artist, Chad Luberger, in Door County, Wisconsin, Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. Place a little water in the base and enjoy a single bloom or complex arrangement in your one-of-a-kind art piece. A single Hosta leaf or even fresh cut herbs in the kitchen can be beautiful. Traditionally a tall, medium and short bloom or leaf is used in the arrangement, signifying the heavens, man, and earth. Enjoy!

Fired with Chad’s “Door County Ash Glaze". This glaze is mixed in-studio with the ashes from trees on the property. Every ash glaze is different, and this one reacts this way to the specific mineral composition of our area!
