Home gardens are being designed with tranquility and serenity in mind. These all-season garden portals compliment the beauty of your garden and provide a place for the eye to rest. Their circular form with a center portal encourages you to take advantage of a moment for the mind to be free, to imagine, to rest, to be at peace.

The artist has reinterpreted the traditional mosaic in a method she calls "Melted Mosaics." Glass pieces are arranged in a circular form or portal. The glass portal is then heated in a kiln until all the pieces of glass melt together. Once the glass is cooled and annealed, it is taken to the metal studio where a custom, stainless steel stand is fabricated. The stand with the glass portal can be placed directly into garden soil or into a planter on the patio.

Each piece is hand made and some variation in color occurs.

Standard Orders

Jewelry

Fine Jewelry

All fine jewelry is shipped as a signature required and insured package via UPS for a flat rate of $50.

Ornaments

$10 for the first item, $3 for each additional item. If your order includes both ornaments and other items, it will be calculated under Standard Shipping.

When to Expect Your Order

Please expect your order to ship within 4 business days. Some items will ship directly from the artists and delivery times will vary. You will be notified if your item is shipping directly from the artist. Once your order ships, you will receive up to date tracking information via email. If you do not receive tracking information, please check your spam folder or call the gallery at 920-393-7885.

In-Store Pickup

We offer free in-store pickup on all items at our Plum Bottom Road location.

Returns

You may return or exchange any item within 14 days of receiving it (with the exception of special orders.) Items may be returned for a refund of the purchase price only; shipping charges will not be refunded. You will receive your refund within 7 – 10 days of the gallery receiving the items on your original form of payment used to place the order. All returns must be mailed to the address below and must be insured for the value of the items in the package. Return shipping is the customer’s expense.

Exchanges

Your replacement order will not be mailed until we receive your return. There are no additional shipping fees for replacement orders. If your exchange costs more than the original order, you must pay the difference. If your exchange costs less than the original order, you will receive the difference in the form of a store credit that is redeemable online and in-store.

Damaged Items

Please inspect your package and items within three days of receiving. If your items are damaged, please call 920-393-7885 as soon as possible so we can arrange to have the package inspected. Please keep all of the original packing materials. Any damage reported after three days of receiving the package will be dealt with at the gallery’s discretion.

Gifts

We realize that the 14-day return window may not be feasible for gifts and we will accept gift returns within an extended time frame. If you return a gift, you will receive a store credit that is redeemable online and in store.

Order Cancellations

Any order (except special orders) can be canceled before it is shipped. To cancel an order, please email orders@plumbottomgallery.com. You will receive your refund on the same form of payment used to place your order. Your refund will be processed the next business day, though it may take 7 – 10 business days for your refund to appear on your statement.

About the Artist

Caryn Brown

Working in kiln glass, Caryn Brown has learned to trust her creativity and what she knows about the science and physics of glass. From concept to creation, Brown actively manipulates the fundamental materials of sheet glass, frit (ground glass) and rod/stringers. Her work is then surrendered to the kiln where the magic of heat, often in excess of 1500 degrees, works to change the raw materials into art.

Living in the Indiana Dunes National Park (United States,) Brown has access to natural landscapes that includes miles of beach along the southern shore of Lake Michigan. From sand dunes to lake shore, marsh to areas populated with trees, there is nature all around me. There is the fierceness of the winter winds across the Lake Michigan and the gentle breezes of summer. This nature, in all its forms, has the ability to bring about a calm serenity within her. She strives to reference that sense of energy, beauty and calm in the pieces she creates.
