Born in Kansas in 1954, Royce Yoder became interested in pottery during college when he took a ceramics class because it looked like "fun." This class jump started his career as a potter, and he officially began making pots for a living in 1978. Royce and his wife Marci moved to Pennsylvania in the late 1970s and Royce established his studio in Lederach in 1983. As the only employee of Royce Yoder Pottery, he strives to make beautiful, functional work every day.
