Reading the Scene
Lori Reed has a passion for nature and loves to take hikes with her camera in hand. She makes 3-4 digital variations of her photographs and hand cuts the prints into strips. She then builds the scene on cradled panels with individual strips from each of the altered photos. Reading the Scene is made of multiple digital alterations of a Barred Owl photo. This piece includes strips of handmade papers and 1921 agricultural newspapers.
