Stay On the Path (Drop Ship)
Lori Reed
Lori Reed has a passion for nature and loves to take hikes with her camera in hand. She makes 3-4 digital variations of her photographs and hand cuts the prints into strips. She then builds the scene on cradled panels with individual strips from each of the altered photos. Stay on the Path was created by combining strips of a digitally edited photograph of a lake in Acadia National Park, colored pencil, handmade papers, and three cent postage stamps.
Dimensions: 14" x 11"
About the Artist

Lori Reed
Lori Reed grew up on a farm in western Illinois and has a passion for nature. Her artwork has photography at its base. She makes 3-4 digital variations of her photographs and hand cuts the prints into strips. She then builds the scene on cradled panels with individual strips from each of the altered photos. Sometimes she adds strips of handmade papers, text, or shredded currency to further abstract the scene. She moves from photographic documentation of a scene to an impression that is timeless…. the work evokes more of a memory or feeling of a space.
