Tucked Away
Michele Cohn
After many years of photography, painting, and mixed media work , Michele Cohn began experimenting with her love of textiles and added stitching to the landscapes. Cohn loves the rich texture and expressiveness sewing adds to her art. Her inspiration comes from the incredibly beautiful and varied images of Door County that we are so lucky to have an abundance of. The colors, patterns, textures, and forms found in the natural surroundings here continue to amaze me. Cohn’s work incorporates pieced fabric, textile paints, and machine and hand embroidery. Each piece is unique and she love not always knowing the direction that the free-motion stitching will take her.
