Fiber: Art Show 3
Plum Bottom welcomes you to Fiber: Art Show 3, running June 22nd- July 4th with an opening reception Saturday, June 22nd from 11-4pm at our Plum Bottom Road location. Come see the newest work from our incredible fiber artists!
Meet Door County artist Michele Cohn, who will discuss her inspiration, technique, and more from 11-2! Also new work from Gail Gilson-Pierce and Jean Corby will be featured. Come to Plum Bottom, enjoy a glass of wine, good company, and Experience Art, Finely Crafted.
Michelle Cohn refers to her art as thread painting. She starts with an expanse of fabric and treats her sewing machine like a paint brush to create one of a kind scenes. A Door County artist, she draws inspiration from just out her door! She creates dreamy sunsets and waterscapes that will transport you to a summer day lounging in the county.
Jean Corby’s latest collection of embroideries all draw inspiration from Door County Wildflowers! Continuing her girls collection, the newest feature Lady Slippers, Black-eyed Susan, and Jack in the Pulpits. These embroideries are stunning in their detail and are sure to draw everyones eye!
Gail Gilson-Pierce takes her incredible painting skills and blends it with her love of quilting to create these one of a kind Lady Slipper pieces. Each piece is painted and then details are stitched in. These vibrant tributes to these wild, Wisconsin orchids are a wonderful addition to any home. Remember spring all year with these stunning pieces!
