Curtis Hall has been in the construction business for over 40 years, brick mason by trade. He has always been intrigued by welding and steel. In 1998, Curtis and his wife met Cy Turnbladh, the owner of Hands On Art Studio in Fish Creek. One of the many things they offer is a welding studio where you can create metal art. He was hooked and started to make things for their home. Since 2013, Hall has gotten more involved with making yard art and in the last couple of years, he and his wife have been introducing fused glass in their work. It again is possible because of Hands on Art Studio that they have had the opportunity to learn how to create and make the glass for these pieces. The Hall's find it very therapeutic to make yard art and find it very humbling to have the opportunity to be at Plum Bottom Gallery!
