Cathleen and Kostas create jewelry the same way they approach everything in life—together. Whether they’re cooking, cleaning, or dreaming up new designs, it’s always a team effort. Every piece begins with a spark of an idea, followed by a back-and-forth exchange of thoughts, refinements, and a shared excitement as the design begins to take shape. It’s a journey—one that always leads to something greater than either could have achieved alone. That’s the beauty of it.

The process isn’t without its challenges, of course. But as Cathleen says, no creative endeavor truly is. Their different cultural backgrounds add a rich layer of depth to their work—Cathleen grew up in Woodstock, New York, while Kostas was raised in Athens, Greece.

They met on the island of Crete—Kostas was vacationing from architecture school in Italy, and Cathleen was living there during a break from international law school. They first connected over food and music. Jewelry came later, almost by accident, as a way to support themselves through years of study across Europe. But it stuck.

Their shared passion for travel, history, nature, and architecture is evident in every detail of their work. Today, the Anatolis design and handcraft timeless, classically inspired jewelry from their Woodstock, New York studio. They are committed to using ethically sourced, top-quality materials and hold themselves to the highest standards in craftsmanship.

This family-run business has recently welcomed the next generation into the creative fold—daughters Katia and Layla are now contributing as designers and artists in their own right.
