Primrose Wildflower Bowl
Hanson and Kastles Art Glass
Dancing with hand-formed floral millefiori and scattered with frit, this blown glass vase is awash in movement and color, evoking a meadow of blooming wildflowers.
A ribbon of blue traces the lip, and the rounded silhouette nestles into a gently flared foot.
About the Artist

Hanson and Kastles Art Glass
Ken and Ingrid Hanson have worked together since their early college years. Although traditional Italian and Swedish glassblowing techniques inspire them, they employ a bold and innovative color palette to create their unique, contemporary art glass.
The artists pay great attention to the detail of the surface on their vessels. They first create brightly colored stripes and shapes using hand-formed cane and murrini, and then, during the blowing process, they fuse these inclusions onto the surface of the glass. The also often include 24K gold and pure silver leaf in many of their pieces.
