Margaret explores many mixed mediums such as oil and cold wax, acrylics, collage and alcohol inks. She's never sure what the end result will be so no two pieces will ever be alike. There is no way to know when the piece is finished until it speaks to her; Then she titles the piece. Margaret suggests, before you look at the titles of each piece, create your own and then look at hers to compare.

About the Artist
Margaret Prescott
With a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois, Margaret’s career began as a museum and trade show exhibit designer in the Chicago area. She opened Prescott Art Studio in 2005 specializing in portraiture including architecture, people, and pets. Moving to Fish Creek in 2020 ignited her passion for oil and cold wax landscapes and other Door County inspired subjects. Her style is a combination of realism and expressionism, using palette knife, spatula, and brush.
