Sunflower Jubilee

Sunflower Jubilee

Mary White

A magical landscape exemplifying the feeling of what Door County looks like. An acrylic painting with rhythm to the sky and texture to the ground. Mary has experimented with her acrylics by adding a gel medium to create peaks of color, a hallmark of her style.

About the Artist

Mary White

Mary White

Mary lives a life of quiet seclusion in beautiful Jacksonport, Wisconsin, with her husband. She grew up in Indiana and studied scenic painting at Indiana University and eventually art and art education at University Wisconsin, Green Bay.

Quote from Artist: "I paint because painting is my job and I love my job. My job is filled with all kinds of joy- the joy of paint and colors, the joy of frustration, and the joy of problem-solving. My work is a celebration of Door County and it's endless beauty."
