"The Brook" Outdoor Garden Stake
Sue Pruss
Sue Pruss totally loses all sense of time when immersed in her glass studio. She’ll look at a beautiful new sheet of glass and begin to imagine. Sometimes the texture or pattern ‘tells’ her what to create. Other times, it’s the blending of colors. But the most rewarding aspect of all, is the organic approach she takes in her creations.
Quote from the artist: "Glass stringers help to give this piece a realistic feel of the grass reeds swaying or the tree branches moving in the light wind. This piece reminds me of tranquil times where our busy lives stand still, if even for just a few relaxing minutes."

About the Artist

Sue Pruss
As a glass artist, Sue draws inspiration from the beauty around her. Sometimes it’s a relaxing walk through a nature preserve in Door County. Other times it’s the quiet moments of reflection while sitting in a park or driving country roads.
For 60 years, this passion for art lay dormant, but upon retirement, her true calling was unveiled: transforming sheets of glass into captivating art. Sue specializes in crafting vibrant kiln-formed landscapes, focusing on the intricate beauty of flowers and trees. Each petal and branch is hand-cut, allowing her creativity to flow naturally and organically.
Her pieces often undergo multiple kiln firings to achieve the perfect effect, each one a testament to her deep connection with nature and her dedication to creating unique, one-of-a-kind art.
