What a Fox!
McKenna Kornowski
McKenna Kornowski’s paintings depict a state of coordinated chaos within the stillness of nature. A wide array of techniques come together in her work to perform the dynamic dance of life. Her artwork celebrates the imperfect beauty of our environment along with an open hearted desire to honor it.
Most of her acrylic paintings contain repurposed materials such as antique lace and thrifted fabrics. These elements, along with textured mixing mediums, are what give her paintings their unique surface quality. Themes that appear in her work are oftentimes derived from quiet messages from mother nature which are at once both playful and thought provoking.
Her art strives to capture the micro moments in time that contain the potential for action. Within stillness there is the promise of transformation. Although the subjects in her work oftentimes appear at rest, a closer look will reveal the vibration of life force within.

About the Artist
McKenna Kornowski
McKenna Kornowski is a mixed media painter. She lives in a little green house on 14 acres of land in Oconto, Wisconsin with her husband and chickens.
When Kornowski was a little girl on her family’s hobby farm, she would spend hours outside searching for small bugs and toads and would study their details and texture. Now as an adult, she still holds a deep appreciation for the environment.
In our increasingly high tech society, what with our smart devices and VR head sets, humans have a tendency to set themselves apart from the natural world. We are, however, still intrinsically connected to the trees and the fish and the birds. It is McKenna's hope that her art helps to remind others of how it feels to be outside and full of adoration for our dear mother earth.
