Stacey Small Rupp
Stacey Small Rupp's paintings are an expression of her own interpretation of the natural beauty of Door County. Subjects that interest and stir Rupps's emotions include wildflowers, shorelines, hiking trails and old barns. Watercolors can be the most spontaneous and overwhelming medium to work with to capture moments and moods that nature can inspire. Subtle, tranquil and charming are all words that have been used to describe her paintings.
Lakeside Shore I is from Stacey Small Rupp's newest collection. Instead of using paper, Rupp is using an Aquaboard which makes the finished product look more like an acrylic or oil painting instead of a watercolor.
