This kiln-fired, glass art pieces is framed by a steel structure that acts as part of the sculpture. This pieces is designed to be viewed from two sides; one side is smooth and has textural elements and one side is roughly textured byt also contains color and design. Both sides contain gold pen work fired onto the surface.

About the Artist
Karen Ehart
Born in the pacific northwest to a family who valued and encouraged artistic expression and craftsmanship, Karen Ehart's work reflects more than 36 years of creative experimentation. She enjoys working with glass as well as a variety of materials including bronze, steel, and clay. In 1984, she picked up a glass cutter and was ruined for any real job. She has been quite the rolling stone and now resides in Washington state; Ehart has found much to influence her work in each place.
